Death Valley’s salt flats

Two nights in Johnson Canyon taking a dirt road off the dirt road. The road became too tough and we smashed the running board step. Fantastic 11 mile hike up to Hungry Bill’s ranch and back.

Next, up Warm Springs canyon to striped butte. We caught a crazy wind and rain storm and found shelter in Stella’s Greater View, a pair of abandoned prospector cabins.

Followed by a single night in Las Vegas. Dinner at Momofuku and Cirque du Soleil’s Love at the Mirage.
