We will spend two weeks in the Usambara Mountains including two treks.
We will spend our first days in Tanzania recovering from our travels at the Irente Farm Lodge on the outskirts of Lushoto.
Trek to the
Mazumbai Forest Reserve
A three day, two night circuit hike takes us to the tropical forest of Mazumbai and through several small villages. We hope to stay with a local family along the way. With luck we will see monkeys, chameleons and tropical birds.
Trek to Mambo
After a day in Lushoto, we are off on a four day trek to Mambo. On the way we will summit Mt. Mzoghoti, and visit several villages.
We finish out our visit with a few days in Mambo.
